Job Description:
Rics Recruitment is seeking compassionate and dedicated Social Care Workers to join social care teams across Ireland. The role involves providing care and support to individuals in residential care settings, community programs, or other support environments. The successful candidates will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for vulnerable individuals, including children, adults, and those with disabilities or mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day care and support to service users in a respectful and person-centered manner.
Assist individuals in developing life skills, promoting independence and well-being.
Collaborate with service users to create individual care plans based on their needs and goals.
Support service users in accessing community activities, education, or employment opportunities.
Monitor and record the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of individuals.
Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other professionals (e.g., healthcare providers, counselors).
Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation of challenging situations when necessary.
Ensure all care provided is in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organizational policies.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs and reports on service user progress.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Social Care, Social Work, or related fields (e.g., FETAC Level 5 or higher).
Experience working with vulnerable individuals, especially in residential or community-based settings, is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals’ rights and dignity.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and ethical guidelines.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights.
Full, clean driving license is an advantage.
