Job Description:
Rics Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join various companies across Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure operations for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Ensure network security and monitor systems for potential threats.
Manage data backup and disaster recovery plans.
Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects and system upgrades.
Document processes and maintain records of IT assets and configurations.
Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Specialist, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network administration.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.
